I’m guest posting today for Dawn at Spatulas on Parade.
With all the hustle and bustle this time of the year I was happy to lend a ‘post’ to Dawn while she is enjoying the holidays with her family.
If you are a regular visitor here you know that sweet treats is what I enjoy most.
I also know that Dawn and her hubby like dessert as well so I’m delighted to bring over my Chocolate Chip and Coconut Cake to Spatulas on Parade today.
This is a brunch cake. “What is a brunch cake” you ask? It’s a dense cake which is quite different from a layer cake.
It’s best as a cake for snacking served with hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
Whereas a layer cake is festive and most often served as a dessert or maybe a celebratory cake for birthdays or special occasions.
You don’t need a special pan to make this cake. You can use either an 8 x 8 glass pyrex dish or a large loaf pan. The pan I used for this cake was a loaf pan.
I used an 8×8 glass pyrex dish for my Coconut Brunch Cake RECIPE which I originally made a while ago.
Please stop by Spatulas on Parade for the recipe and while you are there be sure to leave a comment and let Dawn know I sent you.
You can also find Dawn on Facebook; Twitter; Pinterest; and on Google+.
Happy Holiday!
My Very Best Wishes to Dawn and her family in their new home and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
Thank you so much Joanne for bringing this great brunch cake to my readers. I will be sure to try it when I get back home. Sounds delish! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
My pleasure Dawn. Happy Holidays!
