It’s January 2nd, the weather outside is frightful, and I’m lounging with my feet up and sipping a cafe mocha.
“Huh, lounging”? you say. Well, it’s snowing now and there is a blizzard warning. Though it’s very uncharacteristic for me to be lounging around and relaxing I’m taking advantage of the severe weather warnings to enjoy a bit of tranquility.
To warm up a little I made a hot Cafe Mocha and had a couple of chocolate chip and walnut cookies I made a few days ago. It’s nice to have an opportunity to “chill out” occasionally.
This simple Cafe Mocha can be made in less than 2 minutes if you have the ever popular individual coffee brewers. It’s a no-fuss, no-mess drink to take the chill out.
I just happened to have a bowl of fresh whipped cream left from a dessert I made for New Year’s Eve. Making fresh whipped cream is a splurge I make for special occasions during the year.
