Super Bowl Season is Here! I’ve put together a few popular Super Bowl Game Day recipes that have been proven to be popular and kid approved.
Not being a football fan definitely does not hold me back from whipping up easy recipes. Let’s just say that the one thing I do enjoy about football is the entertaining.
A few popular dishes served on game day are spicy wings, chili, potato skins and nachos which are all my favorites. I would have to make all of these if I was entertaining a large crowd.
Over the years I realized it’s way too much work to cook for a large crowd when I was commuting to to a full time job everyday. I decided over the years that I’d rather make cookies and desserts and whatever else can be made in advance. These are a few of the super bowl game day recipes that have become favorites for any gathering any day of the year.
I’m sharing a few favorite recipes that are great to make as game watching snacks. I’ve also included a couple of recipes that are great to have the kids help you make. They are easy and very kid-friendly – even great for family movie night.
The Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe is very flexible. You can use chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, raisins, dried cranberries or nuts. And you can even dip the cookies in chocolate as I did (my fav). This is easy to prepare and you can make the cookies a week in advance and freeze them until game day.
Easy Chocolate Chip CookiesDipping BowlsChurrosThis 3 Easy Dips is always a hit when hosting a large group. I’m confessing that for this to be easy I used store bought sauces (I know it’s not nutritious but add fresh fruit to balance things). The variety of snacks and fruits can always be geared toward your guests. When you have a large crowd flexibility is important in a recipe so you can choose just the right foods and you’ll know everyone will find something they enjoy.

One thing you can count on is that this dessert only takes a few minutes to prepare and you can do everything in advance. Another ‘good thing’ when entertaining, it’s ready when you are!
Then we have the delicious Churros. They are so good, and it’s a fun recipe to make when you have a crowd. Everyone likes to help, so you can roundup a few volunteers and whip up a batch of churros in no time at all. The clean up will be a breeze with all help you’ll have.
All you have to do is click on each photo for the recipes. They are definitely worth making for a hungry crowd.
An easy to make Tortilla style pizza is another flexible recipe. You can top the tortillas with your favorite ingredients and bake.
The same goes for the ham, cheese, pear wrap. This is quick and easy. Just use whatever you know your crowd will enjoy. Simple prep, just place the ingredients on the tortilla and roll ’em up.
Oh, and the empanadas can be made in advance and you can freeze them until game day arrives. So easy and it’s always a crowd pleaser.
Always a “kid favorite” is the easy soft pretzel bites recipe. All you need for this recipe is refrigerator biscuits and a few kids who like to help.
Don’t be shy, you can make any of these recipes on any game day, or while watching the winter olympics, then there’s March Madness. Oh, and don’t forget on family movie night.
